ATN testing Bosch and Siemens dishwashers

Take an ordinary white houshold porcelain plate, add a good portion of spinach, beat an egg and pour over the spinach, then bake to a crisp in the oven. This recipe ist taken from a very special cookery book - European standard EN 50242. This cookery book is used daily at BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH in Dillingen to test the company's dishwashers as well those of the competition.
But before it gets to this stage, a BSH dishwasher has to undergo a battery of other tests, right down to checking the precise fit of an O ring, because this is one of the factors which determines how quiet the dishwasher is.
It is also important to ensure that the  performance and use specifications are met, and while the endurance test unavoidably takes time, highly automated procedures ensure that the compunter-assisted short trial run is quickly completed.
The testing equipment used by BSH is supplied by the Quality Assurance Division of ATN. All the inspection hardware and sofware has been designed, manufactured and commissioned in close collaboration with BSH, making sure that everything works perfectly without disturbing the neighbours.
